liquifire deep snow kit

Post by mbsledhead »

I just picked up an 80 liquifire for parts and noticed the tunnel had a lot of clearance to the snow. Also the rear arm in the skid is a few inches forward and the front arm in the skid is bolted in lower. As well there is alumimum spring seats on the rear arm. Does anyone have an idea if this is a factory deep snow kit. Thanks guys.

I don't beleive by your description it is the deep snow kit.
The kit is really just the back arm off of a Sportfire.

Can you post pictures of your suspention?

I don't have any pictures but here is a better explanation. The top idler wheels are on a seperate shaft instead of on the rear arm and the suspension is bolted onto brackets that are lower than the tunnel. Also those spring seats I was talking about on the rear arm have two settings. If its not factory it sure looks it. I will try to get some pictures soon.

The aluminum spring seats are standard items to add preload to the springs, but the brackets below the tunnel are not Deere parts.
