Re: '12 race sleds
sledder,
I have a real nice 81 7500plus for sale if your interested. I was going to use it in the I-500 but decided tigre 5000 parts/sleds were alot easier/cheaper to come by. ( I'm building one for me and my 15 yr old son to race) The 9500 has more ponies but I think the 7500 would do pretty good as well.
email me at mountain1@mywdo.com if interested and I will get ya some pics....Thanks,Eric

sledder 670,
Found what you are looking for! I picked up the Liquifire yesterday. The 9500 looked pretty good, not pristine, but definitely a good restoration candidate. He said it had a newer track also, along with one complete spare motor and another partial. I just didn't have $500 or else I would have brought that one home too. He's a motivated seller, with a kid on the way, and the wife telling him to get rid of the sleds.

Re: '12 race sleds
Guys,
May I humbily suggest that if you are going to race in 7 months that you get your sleds started NOW if not sooner. Trust me on this one guys, with out my friends bailing me out in the last month and even day before the race, I would not have made it to the line. To show them some respect, my new sled is currently under construction and many of update parts have been purchased.
If you can only do one update to your sled, install FOX or simular racing shocks on your sled. Carver Performance can shorten ones for the rear skid. Ski shocks can be a bit long for the application, as VDR (Vintage Deere Racing) as been able to use stock FOX, non-remote reservior, in that location with custom bushings.
Good luck guys, hope to see many more of you out there!
