Post by ICCSF 108 »

 How much would a 440 Dator Motor, Used Crank case, Cked Crank, 440 Cyl., 440 Head, Used Water Pump, NOS Recoil, Used Stator, NOS Trigger, Used flywheel, Used Mics. Parts, be worth less Pistons

Post by ICCSF 108 »

 OK, I've decided that I have Too many Irons in the fire already, and although I hate to let this one go, But here it is,

LESS Misc. Bolts, Gaskets, & Pistons, I Believe that there is a Yamaha Piston that would work.

Now lets say someone installed this into a correct dator chassis, completely restored from one end to the other, would that make the highest priced john deere sled in existence?? possibly one of the most desirable vintage sleds known to man. Probably not a bad deal. Bryan

That's a good question...one that has been bounced around a bit off list.

I'm not so sure that dropping it into any old Dator chassis will make it worth more than the sum of its parts.

If it was still in the original test chassis, that would be different.

Let's hear some other opinions.
