Must be nostalgia week here in Churubusco. Got a call yesterday from the local undertaker who said that a fellow didn't know how to find me but wanted me to have a picture his father took in 1978 after the blizzard. I know it's not snowmobile related but a cool old picture of my dealership. Believe it or not it's the only good picture we have of it. When I purchased the dealership from my father I told him I would honor him by keeping the name of the dealership the same. While that was sort of true I quickly found out how expensive it was to change every piece of paper, sales invoices, parts invoices, service orders, etc. I was much cheaper just to keep the name and continue to use those items............(sorry Dad).

Cool pic Don,I can remember going back to school 14 days later and seeing cars buried in snow drifts. You could just see the silloete of the car, where the plow trucks and tractors just shoved them aside.Brock
We got a lot of snow here in '78 as well. 75" vs our normal 48", but I don't remember anything quite that impressive.
75" was the all time season snowfall record until 2007, when we got over 100". But we didn't have anything that impressive then either. Fun times eh Don?
Was the car under the drift a Vega hatchback?

Here's a link to what happened here in Massachusetts, by far the most impressive snowstorm of my life. We had nearly the entire month of February off from school. This storm dropped 3 feet of snow on top of 2 feet of snow that had fallen 2 weeks earlier. snowmobiles were out on the streets rescuing stranded motorist from their snowbound vehicles. My nieghbor was doing service calls for the local gas company on his 1977 El'Tigre 5000. I love those old photos, thanks for the post DA.
I remember seeing a picture in a 1978 Sno-Goer mag, of a sled on top of a two story house taken in Buffalo NY.
The drift had made it so this guy could ride up to the top of the house
I've seen a lot of snow, but nothing like that!
