At 5 bucks I think ill just replace condensors while I have it apart but the wires appear to ne part of the coils not sure they may be after market ones or some thing . What is good compression for a 440?

If you have the stock coils the spark plug wire screws into the terminal on the coil tower.
This is a common problem area where moisture corrodes the connection and you loose spark.
The screw tip can also rust and even break off.
Good compression would be around 125. Really good compression would be 140 plus.
Having balanced compression is very important. 120 and 140 would make for a poor performing engine.
You put new crank seals in yet? Another $5.00 each but money well spent.

I have a whole engine gasket kit but I want to make sure it runs some what decent before I tear it down .I do not want to change to many things at once and not be able to track a problem if I have one . Which seems to be happening a lot with this engine lol sad thing is the sled it came out of is not repairable been keeping an eye out for a doner sled but if I can't find one it may just power some thing else.

The problem with that theory is that is the seals are really bad, it will not run at all. Also, in order to change the mag end seal, the points stator will need to be removed, At that point, you will have to build a timing light like the one shown in your service manual, and follow the procedure found there in order to re-time the ingition. If it was me, i'd do it all at once. I wouldn't try to fire an engine with old seals, Possibly wore out rings, and a possibly bad crankshaft. Just my $0.02.

Dustin is correct.
When in doubt, take it apart.
Why risk damaging a good engine because of some cheap seals and gaskets.

All right you convinced me to rebuild first if I can figure out how to get the clutch off I'm tearing it down lol but I do have one question the kit I have has no gasket in between the crank cases upper and lower is one there or do you rtv it ?

You need a specific puller to pull the clutch.
The case is sealed with an anaerobic sealer such as Yamaseal, 3 bond, etc.
