kawasaki 550 Interceptor

thinking about getting my interceptor ready for this season. former owner put mikuni 38mm carbs on it.it came stock with the keihn flapper style carbs.i have these also.should i switch the carbs back to stock? proper jetting for mikuni carbs?any info would help.thanks<Earl

I think you should just forget about it and sell it to me

Do you plan on riding it much?
I have 38's smooth bored to 39.5 on mine and i have 370 mains with 30 pilots it seems a bit rich right now but when its cold it should be better but i might drop to 360 mains yet.

it runs now just dont idle well,probably dirty carbs.real clean sled.1200 miles.these things are quick.

Hey Guys,

I have a set of 38 mm Mik's that were jetted for the 530cc "550 Interceptor" motor. If I get a second, I will see what jets were installed.

From what I am told the orginal carbs were a fickle pain, and hard to get parts for. I think one the Kawi guys said at ATV accelerator pump crossed over though.

Good luck with your Kawi. It's a pretty rare and desireable sled.
