Keep in mind that you need an exhaust manifold too, and they're real tough to come by.

And that the 21 manifold is different than the 22 unit.

Really I never knew you needed a manifold too! That would probably explain why no one has one.

There out there Bob but $200 seams to be the going rate for a complete exhaust system for 800/X8.

Bob remember a few years ago I bought a 75 JDX8 for $50 and posted a couple of pictures here?

I offered to trade it for your L-fire and You laughed at me. The exhaust was pristene and the entire machine has been rebuilt.
Showed it last year and brought home a plaque.

And I just bought an 800 two weeks ago. Drove it on the tralier.
came with the complete exhaust and a recovered seat for $200 plus it came with a 73 x8 parts sled.
Price ?? $200.

Money well spent in my book.

I dont remember that. Maybe vaguely a trade but no laughing. So the tuned pipe is stock on the 75 X8 sleds.

Same seller also had a 72 400 in the shed that he wanted an extra $75 for it with a locked up motor and mangled front bumper and no shrouding pieces at all.

72 parts are tough to find and I have none so it still sits there two blocks from my house.

The city was running around issuing tickets to people that had old unlicened sleds in their yards,
The guy had the two JD's I got in his back yard but the 72 was in his garage.

I had 14 in my yard but they went by by real fast as the tickets were $96 per sled.

A guy down the street gave me for free a 72 Rupp Yankee with only 403 miles on it
just to get rid of it.

Guy down the block sold two Cats for $100. I missed out on them.!!!!
