Where is the clutch removal thread?
I'm trying to get the engine side of the primary clutch off. I'm trying to find a tutorial. I didn't have a problem getting the outside of it off with a puller, but the inside part is not coming off.
Is there a thread I'm not seeing around here explaining this?

Something went wrong then. The whole clutch should have come off at the same time. As to what to do now, I'm not sure.....I assume this is a 94C?

If it's a 94C the outside cover is just press fit on, so it can come off quite easily. You will need to continue with your removal tool to get the rest of the clutch off.

Once you took out the 5 inch bolt that holds the clutch to the motor, look inside the clutch where the bolt came out of and you should see threads. This is where the special puller would be threaded in to force the clutch off. I think these threads are 9/16 x 18. The puller is a special bolt that is long enough to bottom out in the crank and also thread into the clutch, then I use an impact wrench to pop off the clutch. If you make one, make sure that it threads far enough in the clutch so you don't pull the threads out of the clutch. Some come off really hard, I had to rethread a couple of clutches to get them off. ive used a 2 inch bolt and just filled the hole about an inch down with motor oil and used the impact trick pops them right off wade

Okay. I did put a smaller bolt in that hole that bottomed out, then put the puller on that. Didn't haven't much luck, but I haven't tried with and impact wrench, yet.

Not using proper clutch pulling tool. I used a puller to get part of the primary clutch off. Seems as though I need to get a bolt to get the remaining off.

Without the proper clutch tool you risk the chance of damaging or breaking the clutch..

So, should I try to combine what people mentioned before? At 2 inch 9/16 x 18 bolt with some hydraulic fluid?

This is what you need to remove the clutch. You can either buy one, or if you have the means you can make one. I just bought a bolt with the correct threads and welded a rod on the end. So far it has worked just fine.

just some dude ! the 2" bolt with the fluid or grease will work fine, but I do suggest using an Impact to get it to break loose ! You may have to repeat filling the hole up a couple times of fluid or grease. Make sure you have a few rags handy b/c it can get quite messy ! Another way is to take a thin 3/8 extension from your tool box (make sure it is a lifetime ) shove it down in the hole ratchet side first b/c you don't wanna take a chance of messing the threads up inside the crank shaft. thread in your bolt and and give the impact a few quick bumps and then hold it on till she pops off !
NOW for all sake purpose you should have the correct puller to do this Job BUT I understand completely when you have to improvise !!! jdrob

Please use a grade 8 bolt if you are going to try to make your own puller. There have been a few horror stories about low grade bolts and homemade pullers. The correct puller should be around $30.
