Hi guys.
As most of you guys know, I'm primarily a midmount guy, but this fall i aquired a clean '80 Liquifire. I just plan on making a rider out of this one, so it is just going to get a good mechanical restoration, nothing cosmetic. My question to you all, does anyone know the I.D. of the jackshaft and drive shaft bearings? I knwo they are self aligning type bearings. I know i could tear mine apart and measure them, but i'd like to have all of the parts here when i pull it in as i don't want it sitting in the shop very long. NBPS (New Breed Parts Store) has all of the bearings i need, i'm just not sure on the quantity as Deere does not list the dimensions in the parts catolog. Thanks for any and all help.

Re: '80 Liquifire Bearings
i believe the id of the jackshaft bearings are 7/8 and the drive shaft are 1 inch the od is the same for both it takes two of each size unless you are running an ac jackshaft for a 1 inch secondary then it takes 3 one inch and 1, 7/8 [ a tip for your racer ] wade

Re: '80 Liquifire Bearings
Thanks Wade. I'll get them ordered. Did you ever figure out what your jackshaft was from? I have a primary that needs attention, and no secondary yet. So for now, its going to sport a 102-c.lwb140 wrote:i believe the id of the jackshaft bearings are 7/8 and the drive shaft are 1 inch the od is the same for both it takes two of each size unless you are running an ac jackshaft for a 1 inch secondary then it takes 3 one inch and 1, 7/8 [ a tip for your racer ] wade

Re: '80 Liquifire Bearings
not exactly like an early eightys panther they are 23 inches long and seem to be a direct bolt-it from the 340/s through 80 l/f at least . the late eightys eltigre had a 25 1/2 incher which are just too long , ive got a line on a couple more if you need one wade

I'll need at least one of them. Just put it on my tab.
