A few things to note on 80-84 LF suspension shocks. "IF" they allow the rear arm to over extend from the factory limit, the upper shock mount will make contact with the center row of drive lugs and tear them out. If the shock is too long in the fully compressed position, it will crush the shock and bend lots of things. Make sure the suspenison will fully compress and that the rear arm hits the bump stops and does not go solid on the shock.
Aside from that, lookes like nice work guys!

Brock took care of that. I know it didn't take a lot of time, and i know he used the buffer. Other than that, he will have to expand on it.

Clay i used a air polisher.First i get the alluminum clean,then i use scotch brite pads and rub my but off getting the alluminum lightly shined up.them i use wheel cleaner for cast alluminum,to get it clean,then i start polishing with my air polisher and rouges of different grits.Then i use polishing compound to put the final shine to it.Brock

Time for an update. We started engine assembly last evening....
Anybody can pay for chrome, it takes talent to polish....
Ready for the top end. NOS .010 over bore pistons and bored jugs are sitting on the bench, all we need is upper rod bearings and this thing will be ready for transplant. Enjoy!
