Snowmobile Shop Dolly
I am looking for a good quality snowmobile shop dolly. I prefer one made in the USA with pneumatic tires. Something like this http://www.durashieldcovers.com/snowmob ... -8010.html but I think it is to wide to work with my John Deere and other vintage snowmobiles. I don't mind paying more for for a high quality dolly.

That looks like the one we have though ours is black. The big deal to me is that the pads slide in and out. DA

I have essentially the same thing. Adjustable pads is key and inflatable tires are a plus for uneven terrain. The only thing it hasn't worked on is my Dad's 2-up Polaris trail sled. Naturally this is the heaviest sled I have to move around...good motivation to keep it in running order.

With their offer to ship free this is not a bad price.
Looks just like mine which is made by CMP.
Oh and it is black also.

I have a black CMP one with adjustable pads. My only complaint is they did not weld the LH side axle on perfectly straight; it works fine but I would have expected better.
A friend has one of those yellow ones that are more expensive but have the taller non - pneumatic wheels. I never tried it on uneven terrain, but it's a nice outfit.

Are the ones from CMP made in the USA? I don't want anything that is made in China.

Re: Snowmobile Shop Dolly
Spencer,
A suggestion for you if you have access to fabrication equipment - I saw one at a show and was going to buy it but figured i would have had to modify it for older sleds since it was pretty tall for newer sleds:
http://shop.eazymovecarts.com/Snowmobil ... ies_c3.htm
So, i ended up building one myself. Here is an old entry on the board here so you can have a look:

Either way you choose to go, it will be "Made in USA" and NOT made in CHINA!
Hope this helps,
Greg

Re: Snowmobile Shop Dolly
CMP is Cambridge Metal Products in Minnesota.
I have had mine for many years and it was made in MN back than.
I do not know if that is still the case.
The only improvement I did with mine is to put tubes in the tires as they would leak slowly all the time.
The tubes I bought at the local Tire Store were made in China.
