Hi Guys.
Time for another set of pictures. We were in the shop until 7:00am this morning forking this sled over. We got the carb and airbox mounted, clutches cleaned and rebuilt, seat and gas tank installed, as well as all the goodies on the rear end. This is what it looked like at that time...

We reconvened once again at about 5:00 this evening to put some of the final touches on it. We still have some minor things to button up, but for the most part, this machine is ready for snow. One more Deere saved...

Question: what did you use to cut the hood foam nicely?

Haha. We cut it with Brocks bandsaw. Its meant for wood, but it does a great job.

Did you paint your gas tank or was it in that good of shape? If you did paint it, what did you use? Fantastic looking sleds.

That my friend is about 30 coats of black shoe polish and about an hour's worth of labor....

Hey palepainter Mine was a light gray almost on my 77 Cyclone and i used NuVinyl, put about 5 heavy wipe downs on it and it looks really good and holds up to gas gettin on it. I wipe everything down but the seat with the NuVinyl about 3 or 4 times a year just to keep everything lookin good. Here is a before and after, on the before you can see the bottom half is a light gray. Just my .02 worth
