Finally! 1st Ohio ride of the year

Post by atomc40 »

Finally a chance to sport "John Deere Green" around the neighborhood. Got my buddy Chris to pull in for a photo-op. He recently aquired this super straight 78' rider,with intentions to do a full restore :beers;. One more Deere lookin good, back on the trails! :usa: Tom

Hey Tom, you inspired me to take the Liquifire out for a little shakedown run. I don't think we have as much snow as you do, so I didn't go far, but it was enough to find out what I missed during assembly. We still have some more wrenchin to do, but we are a little bit closer now. Hopefully we will get some more snow before this winter ends, but it's not looking good.

Terre,your sled looks great in its natural environment. As far as the marginal snow conditions...I just go to the shop and watch Football. Come Febuary,It'll be "Boogety,Boogety,Boogety,lets go racing boys!" So,it's all good! :beers;

I agree, it looks much better out on the tundra vs sitting in the garage. Having a TV in the garage, now that's a great idea. I will have to see if I can get myself one be before Daytona. What's the deal on the mid-mount, I don't remember seeing that one when I picked up the chassis from you. It looks pretty nice!

You guys are lucky. In Columbus all we got as about a half inch of ice on everything. We have had no snow accumulation to speak of for almost a full calendar year. We were planning a trip to Michigan this weekend, but it looks like they will be out of snow as well. I'm getting really close to selling all of them....

Dustin, 2" to 3" was all we got here, just enough to take a spin around the field, but not any great riding. It doesn't really matter now, it disappeared overnight, 50 and rain here. Honestly, I don't think it's much better no matter where you go. The guy that bought my spitfire is from the St. Johns,MI area, and said they haven't had much either. Another guy that I work with has a cabin in the U.P., up around Paradise, last week he said there was only about an inch on the ground. It's just a bad year to own a sled.....Terre

Correction - a bad year to RIDE a sled. Talk like that will give the WAR department additional ammunition. :letitsnow:

Dustin,
Maybe the old jet stream will take a dip in Febuary and we'll get some late season riding in. Sounds good in theory... :wink:
