Deere Wives at the HOF?

Post by JoeRainville »

Hi Guys,

I have heard rumors that several of the Deere Wives will be attending the HOF RWC/Vintage Challenge/Poker Run this Feb. Cari will be joining us again this year, and I hear Mrs. Lindner and Mrs. Miley will be joining us. I have also heard rumors that one of the Busco wives may also join in.

So, with this in mind, Joanne Kruger, who headed up the womans ride / turned bused wine tour will not be able to attend the RWC this year due to a racing schedule conflict. I think I will contact the HOF and see what they have in mind.

Do you guys think your Mrs. will want to do a short ride, or join the group that stays around St. Germain? Or just chill in the hot tub all day instead? I think Dan and Thereasa Larsen may join us this year, and they know the trails like the back of there hand.

Feedback is welcome!

Joe,

My wife is going to attend, but I think that her limited riding time will make her just an observer for the rides on Saturday. I don't know what to tell her to expect to do during the day. But she will be there.

My wife is also thinking about coming up. She will not be participating in the ride. So, Bob you can let your wife know she will not be the only one.

Joe,

Amy would prefer to ride in either the women's ride or the ride that stays around St. Germain.

Thanks Guys. This helps. Cari could go either way, but if there is a mellow womans ride, I think she might be game.

I hear Mrs. Lindner will go on any ride...that Brian doesn't:>)

Hi Guys,

This year there will be three lengths of rides offered at the Ride with the Champs:

1) UP group, late model and Vintage Challenge. About a150 mile ride up to Lake Gogebic and back. Stopping at Fishtails for lunch and fuel, plus an additonal fuel stop on the way up and back.
2) WI Vintage Group, does a shorter ride, around 60 to 80 miles in the north woods.
3) Minoqua Group, lunch at the Thirsty Wale. Expected to be a slower and shorter ride than the other two groups.

There may be a womans ride if a guide can be found, or they may join the Minoqua group.

We are still looking for a support truck driver or two. Two years ago I offered up my truck and trailer as a pre-mix gas can hauler to speed up refueling. Assuming we find a driver, I will make the same offer again.

Looking forward to riding with you guys again! :sled: :sled: :sled:

Thank you. So what is the actual date of this years ride? I can't seem to find that anywhere. Thanks! I've got a trailer that I need to get road-worth, clutches on an 82 liquifire that need changed out and a paint job on an 83 trailfire to get ready. Don't know if we'll make it this year but sounds like fun.
