has anyone changed out the hydraulic screen door closer shock for a gas shock
in a 78 series rear skid? Last weekend I put 90 miles on a freshly resealed
motor without a problem but I think I over did the ol shock with my fat a##
I had the springs on the lower perch and the ride was ok but a couple
of gulley washers at max speed did er in. Max speed by the way was around
50.
any info would help
thanks yamadeere

Re: 78 skid
I replaced mine with another standard oil shock with one that fits an older Polaris. I don't remember the part # but I found it using the measurements of the shock.
