Pushbutton Kill Switch

Post by tieszo6 »

Has anybody had any luck finding a source for the pushbutton kill and dimmer switches? Has anyone ever used Gamma Sales?

Here's a link to their snow catalog. They have pushbutton switches on page 858. You can type the page number in on the top, you don't have to flip through all the pages.

They look close. Not sure if the metal clamp could come off to work with the stock bars. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with them or if there are any alternatives.

I tried to do just what you are considering.

The metal calmp was cut off but the switch will not fit under the clamp on the Deere grip.

It works as is on a 72 but a no go on 73-78.

You can find switches from other brands at swap meets and such that will work.
Some may have a slightly different color or wording on the button top but the fit and function perfectly.

I found some NOS dimmer switches at the Waconia show, not sure where they come from, but they are for Scorpion, not Deere. Minor differences in the aesthetics but they should fit (Indiak switch I am pretty sure). The pics of the kill switches from Gamma do look close, bad pics though, maybe they could work? Maybe it would be worth the $20 just to buy one and try it, and then you can let us know if they fit

edit: Todd beat me to the punch on posting, thanks for the info
