80-84 Liquifire Rev Limiters

Have bunch of NOS Rev limiters for 80-84 Liquifires. ( Just 3 in pix)
$9.50 each + shipping.

Those rev limiters look like 80 model ones since they do not have the yellow wire. P/N AM55176.

I believe they do not work on 82-84 Liquifires?

Like Pat, the parts book says there are two speed limiters. One for the 1980 Model (<155,000) and the other for 81 up (>155,001)

I swear the HSR motors have a different one than the 81's, but I'll look at some sleds because now I've become curious.

So are these 1980 only? I have few 80's only so thats all I have ever seen or used.

That would make sense to me (82 on up). I'm just going by what the parts book says.

But then back in my Chevrolet Parts Department days I ordered a fan switch and got a truck frame. Whodda thought one little number would mean so much???

So are we confirmed these are 80-81 only and 82-84 were different ? Just like to be sure guys get what they need and can use .

Finally took a peek at the speed limiters on some sleds. Turns out they are the same box from 155,001 until the end of the road, only the wire codes are different. Looks like the ones you have are exclusive to 1980 models only.
