John Deere Snowmobile Dyno

Post by Deere Daze »

Hey Guys
I have a OEM John Deere Snowmobile Dyno im going to be digging out in the next few weeks. It will need a new track.(a track from a 600 series is the same or from many other makes). It comes complete with everything, ramps, water jet system etc. Will be posting pics in the next week or two and will be open to cash offers or cash and NOS parts. Will need to be picked up in Ontario as it is way to big + heavy to ship.

Do you have a complete manual for it? I have been looking around for a complete manual for mine for a while.

Any chance we can work something out for a copy of it. I am still on the fence whether the one I have is fixable, but I might as well look at the whole book.

@ S_Kyle If I find it sure, making a copy won't be a problem.Depending on whats wrong with yours , I do have misc NOS parts for them and if its just the drive on it, just find a parts 600 series doner sled.

@Sitfireking I'm just southeast of Hamilton / 45 mins West of Niagara Falls

Mine was outside for 30 years+ years disassembled. I have a track for it but the spray bars, ramps, and I don't know what else is missing. There is alot of rust on it, the rust I can fix its everything else is the problem. I have the pump and gauges so those are the hard bits to find but I really won't know till I start blasting and see what is left of the body of it.

I have a related question. Weren’t there two sled dyne’s? How do you tell which is which?
Ours is an OTC and we ordered it new. It’s always been in our warehouse but it’s been probably 25 years since it was used.

Always thought that cleaning it up and putting a Dator on it would make a heck of a display.

I’d be interested in a copy of the manual too as I’m not sure where ours is at present. Let me know if a copy is available!

Too bad your so far away, that's a bit more of a jaunt then I'm willing to go, unless you wanted to throw it in a trailer and take it up to Lindsay where my HO is... Then again they might not be happy take up room on a load of seed :)
