1976 Liquifire 340
1976 Liquifire 340
Hello all, I recently picked up a real nice 1976 liquifire 340 with 695 miles on it, it runs on spray, it is all original un-cut has a perfect seat, nice hood, and track, overall real nice other than a few dents in belly pan which can be dollied out, I read that there was only 2000 made in 1976, and I was thinking of selling it and wondering a value, I was thinking around $850.00? let me know what you think, thanks in advance see pics

xcr8u,
Welcome aboard, nice liquifire. The 76 Liquifre was the first year to be built but they were fairly common. They were very durable but rode like a tank, since they were heavy. To answer your question, $850.00 seems a little high, but that would be up to the buyer and his intentions. Your Liquifre still has a few of the hard- to - find parts, the 100mph speedo and the oem temp gauge.With only 695 miles, it has survived very nicely. For a show sled, it could be just cleaned up and left alone. For a daily rider/ trail sled, a few things should be done;
The engine should be checked out and resealed
The suspension should also be checked and lubed
Driveshaft, jackshaft bearings checked / replaced
Remove the original seat and replace it with a restored seat. Store the original seat for shows.
Good luck with it.
