Needed 80 series Liquifire parts

Post by DeereKid9 »

I need the following parts for an 80 series Liquifire suspension.

Pair of M68244 Bearings - I call them the "plastic parts that the front springs latch onto/ over".

M69180 - Shaft/axel that the bottom of the suspension shock mounts onto. Can be used if still usable.

Thanks.

Bob

M68244, plastic thingies....I "think" there is a polaris part that is similar. Early 2000's models maybe. I'll do some digging.
At one time Kenny & Dave were talking repop on these, maybe it's time to revisit.

I was mentioning that to Bob today (repop). Actually they have been repoped by Meridian Implement in Rockford, IL but when I bought mine I got the last of them and at that time the parts guy said the business was to be sold. Anyone know the current status of Meridian? They appear very easy to repop.

Repopping the M68244 bearing has been discussed most recently in the following thread:

And also in the following:

Don, you sent me to Meridian about a year ago on the rear spring bushings. Called them, computer said they had them and I placed an order. They called back and said no more re-pops or NOS available, but they had a couple used pairs. I think the guy that did the re-pops no longer works there.

I would be interested in both bushing Bob is referring to. These are the things that wear easy and are easy to replace. I am having my brother lathe down a couple of after market parts to fit the front springs. Might have to try the polaris route

Who did the rear plastic suspension bushings? Maybe they have the capabilities.

Spring Helper Kit re-pops would be a nice addition too.

We have a design for this repop done, just haven't pulled the trigger on it yet. Was going to wait until closer to fall.

Meridian Implement is no longer a John Deere dealer after 40 years of successful service. They are however a McCormick dealer. The loyal customer base is not terribly thrilled with John Deere's behavior in this matter. You can still get Deere parts there which is handy since the replacement outfit, while very flashy, doesn't bother to stock in - season parts on a reliable basis and never has.
