Thanks guys, I was saving the donations to see if we need $$ for paint/supplies, or maybe something that we need that pops up on ebay.

Thanks to all that have donated monitarily and parts, but we still have a long way to go before we can set a build date. Thanks to Mr. Weber there is alot done so far. I'm happy to have put a little time in on it myself, and thanks to Nick and Dustin as well. Its gonna be one awsome build when it is finished. Lets keep the parts coming.

Talked to Larry Skolney from Centerpoint Performance http://centerpointperformance.com/ today. He has some of the hard to find items and will email prices this week. I'll forward the email to Matt and see what he wants to do.

Tom This is a wonderful Idea !
As most of you know I am a transplant recipient ! I received a kidney transplant back on 1/1/09 so far I am doing great with it and hopefully it will last a long time. What alot of people don't realize is transplanted organs DO NOT last forever. They will reject sometime down the road, which it depends on many factors. I am also on the list to receive a pancreas transplant , but I have run into some issues involving a virus called BK virus and have been fighting this for almost 2 years now. This virus shows up in only kidney patients, It has been explained to me as "most people have the virus in them but it would only surface if you were to have a kidney transplant". Even most of the time it doesn't even surface but I consider myself lucky to have it. I have been able to meet some of the awesome people who have received a transplant. We are all greatful for people who donate and the organs we have received. PLEASE I encourage everyone to consider this organization to be our "pick". Thank you for everyone out there who are donors, and those of you who are not,
please take the time out to have your drivers license changed to "organ donor " status..
YOU never know whos life you could save ! Your organs may end up in a John Deere nut like me ! JDROB

I've temporarily taken down the Donate Life America suggestion pending another possible recipient already in the works. Matt will let me know if the other organization is a go. If not this time, maybe next time. I still remain 100% in the "Donate Life America" camp, but will also get squarely behind any other charity. It's all good!
One other thing. "Soapbox" Just a suggestion. When renewing your drivers license and they ask the organ donor question...educate yourself about the program and consider it. I've not personally been a recipient of an organ and have no axe to grind. I just happen to think it's the greatest charitable opportunity that anyone can be involved in.
With that said...the older I get,the more miles I put on. Any parts that I have to offer, aren't exactly nos. But if I break down and they can't put me back on the trail,I figure they're more than welcome to scrap me out. Who knows, there might be a part good enough to get some other feller home. Ya may want to pass on the liver,I think Anheuser-Busch has rode her hard and put her away wet a few times...I'm just sayin.

Yes, I have been talking with the Director of the Pink Ribbon Riders, which is a breast cancer support organization that gives money to both women & men who are diagnosed to help offset medical costs. They hold charity snowmobile rides all over the snowbelt, and ATV & motorcycle rides as well to raise money.

Re: 2013 JDsleds.com Raffle Sled OFFICIAL TOPIC
Off of the true topic but very important to us ( The Ambers)
When my son was killed, he was a total donor: Organ, tissue, eyes...
Unfortunately, he was not eligable for organs or tissue due to the crash, but both of his eyes were given to others. We learned alot about the eyes, as they don't go together as a pair. They were seperated with one going to the Indianapolis area and one staying nearby around Fort Wayne. We were never told to who, but we have a real good feeling that we actually / personally know one of the recepients.
Anyhow, we are very proud of him for making that decision as a young man. But sorry that it didn't all get put to good use.
Now, get back to sled building.
