I also emailed him with no response. I think $1200 was his asking price on VSCA, buy it now was like $1700 on ebay.

I will not bad mouth his asking prices here, but I know there are better ones out there for comparible money.

That was Keith Kenyon's sled. He is a pretty fair guy. I bought my very first vintage sled from him... a 1977 Polaris Colt 340 S/S with 213 miles on it. It was a super nice sled. Like many out there, he is always on the hunt for sleds that he wants for himself and ones that he knows he can flip. This particular sled he decided to flip.

I think the $850 is a spot on price for what that sled was worth. Prices have been dropping on most sleds in the past year---Money is tight and I really think that the price on all but the race sleds may have peaked a couple years ago. I don't think the fact that it is an 84 makes it worth really anymore than the 82's or 83's except to a few really hard core JD collectors who may be trying to maybe get the last year of the liquifire to maybe fill out their collection.

If you guys remember back just a few months an 84 liquifire sold at auction that was almost BRAND new for $3000 ! Let me see I would def, drop another grand down for a LOW mileage, always been inside, hardly ridden sled. Thats if I was a Serious collector and had the money ! :bonk: :lol22: I just wait for the "beaters" to come up forsale ! I am confident there are more 84's to be found lurking in barns and garage corners !
