Yep, 340/S. No interest here as I guess I'm one of the few that prefer aluminum. This style pan led to my demise in the 75 race.
Feel free to check out our website www.buscobullet.com for restorations or parts.

I think I saw this at the Schmitt Implement Auction in June. The seller is not far. I can't remember what it sold for, but I don't think it was much. :bonk:

I was high bidder tonight for a few hours. Not sure how far I am willing to go, but this could be a fun one:>)

PS: Good catch on the auction Rob, since it did not mention 'snowmobile' or 340/s in the title!

As of Sunday, August 5th, the pan has 5 1/2 days to go, and is already up to $255.00. I am guessing she could go $100 higher or more. Since I have been been lucky enough to find a few of them already, I might sit this one out. Unless of course I don't, LOL!

Brock, your pan is going on my nicest original 340/s, with the uncracked ABS hood and the bumper that was still held on the by orignal self tapping bolts, with no holes drilled through it.

Don,

This pan is the factory glass pan Deere sent out to replace the fragile and crack prone ABS one like you raced with (I think). I have an NOS ABS pan, but I am afriad to touch it much as less mount it on a sled.

Guys, this is the style pan Lee Fredrickons makes for the 340/s. The make a wish guys modified the Cyclone bumper to work with the glass pan to keep some of the original look over the trimmed Cyclone pan kit Deere offered in the fall of 76.

Joe hang that ABS pan on your mantle, carefully draw a bunch of fake cracks on it, then have DA sign it !! A "few small pieces" of race history..

Sorry DA but your autograph must be worth something ! :lol22: :usa:

Any one know ballpark what Lee is getting for 340/s hoods and pans?

Mitch,

Without calling for price quote, pans run $200 to $220 (usually) and the hoods are in the $350 range.
