1984 Liquifire

Post by DeereKid9 »

I am selling my 84 Liquifire. It has 3900 Miles.
Bad things first:
Seat needs replaced
Tunnel stripes are faded a little
Does not have the TR-800 Clutch
Paint is chipped in a few small areas.

Good:
Motor runs great. Complete overhaul 2 years ago
New Cannon's Classic windshield
Suspension rebuild with new bearings in the wheels and new shafts where needed.
Track
Skis with new wearbars and insulators
Handle bar heaters

I bought this sled a little over a year ago, tore into some of the necessary issues that it had, repaired and replaced as needed. This sled runs great but I haven't started it since rebuilding the carbs and completely re-doing the fuel systems from tank to carbs.

I know all of you understand the importance of this years build numbers and the last year of JD Snowmobiles.

I am asking $1500 and might deliver for a little extra if it fits both schedules ( yours and mine). I think that I am headed towards the Twin Cities soon and towards the Toledo show in a few weeks also.

See the pics and call me with any questions.

Bob

Nothing to spectacular. Just a sled that I have wanted for a long time. And I like to ride all of my sleds and I would just have these sitting around in the shop.

Want someone to own them that can enjoy them.

I won't speak for Bob but Sean and I have decided that we're done with restorations. At least for awhile. We want to enjoy the sleds we have and be free to ride them. I am proud of Bob for knowing what he wants to do and accomplishing the goal.

I've been wondering the same thing...Bamber is keeping it on the down low, because I've been quietly asking around, and no one I've spoke to yet knows what he has going. I was thinking '78 CC or Dator, but that doesn't square with DA's comment.

Ok, something a few years newer and more reliable maybe...I think a lot of us have something or want something like that around too and yes the prices require multiple vintage sleds to even the $'s out. I'm still interested to see what it is though. :letitsnow:

I have seen this 84 in person. If I didn't already have 1 3/4's 84 LF's, I would be all over it like a fat kid on a Cheeto.

I am guessing though, that Deerebrat9 is going to buy either a Cosworth Vega that his Dad sold new, or a supply of those funky 70's Chevy bowtie jackets...

The pictures show that the liquifire has the old non HSR style cdi/coil. Older engine?

Ok, you need cash to re-tool those swanky Chevy bowtie coats your dad used to wear... :usa:
