I was at Princeton all three days and we had a blast. Kyle, Colin, and I had a great time. We spent a lot of time at Jesse's trailer in the vintage display. Jesse's I-500 sled display was just plain awesome. We had a great time there grilling/drinking beverages with the ETD guys and everyone else. The boys (Kyle and his friend Colin) scored some great deals on gear. Somehow they managed to get a vendor to give them $10 hats. I scored a nice running 1967 John Deere 110 lawn tractor, nice Invader hood, a Polaris Indy 500 to part out, JD push button kill switch, NOS Polaris Indy bellypan, chainsaw for Kyle, leaf blower for the cabin, a oil can with the brand ANALUBE synthetic snowmobile oil (wonder why that oil company went out of business in two years LOL). I even got a new teather assembly for my 340/s. I never had to wait to have something hauled and they were very helpful and kind. As matter of fact all of the volunteers for Princeton were very pleasant and they deserve a big hand for all of their efforts. I thought there was a nice blend of vintage, classic and even enough new sleds to get the guys in the gate too. There were a few things that probably didn't belong but there is no way to stop that as long as they are bringing something snowmobile related. I just have to remember it not near as bad as Haydays. I never saw a oven, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, washer machine, or dryer. Kenny (grumpy) and I hung out a lot and we had a pretty good time at the swap. Only thing that bums me out is that I barely watched the vintage drags friday night. Can't wait until next year.
No Rainville this year? I think he heard about how big Kyle is getting now. Kyle says he can't wait to see Rainville
and pay him back for all of the past beatings.

Re: Princeton Swaps/Races/Vintage Area Were Great
Nice post Duane. I too enjoyed my weekend at Princeton hanging out BSin with a bunch of great people. I'm not much of a shopper for stuff in the swap meet area but I always enjoy making a tour through there just to marvel at the variety of holdings that guys haul in there. I love the fact that some of it just looks like a pile of crap to most people but yet in that pile is something that makes someones project complete or springs a new one. I also love to hear the story once in a while of a swapper just handing someone that vital little part for their project and telling them just take it. It also makes me feel real good to see a guy like Duane there hanging out with his son and son's buddy all weekend pouring over vintage sleds and vintage stuff just having a great time together, priceless. It's kind a neat to think a young teenager and his buddy can consider spending a weekend of hanging out with old iron and a bunch of old farts their idea of a good time. Those boys were still as full of energy and enthusiastic about what they could find or check out when I last saw them late Saturday night as when I saw them Friday for the first time. The youth is the future. Lastly, thanks Jesse for your efforts and thanks all you guys that were within earshot to patiently listen to my stories one more time. I try to sprinkle a little truth into them. Oh wait lastly lastly, anytime I get to see any of my ETD buddies the rest of the happenings are gravy. Bobby Enns all the way from Winnipeg, Craig Knudsen and his sweetheart of a wife Brenda, Joel Hultquist, Jerome Kretzman, and last but not least that annoying little buddy Doug Oster. We're also lucky enough to enjoy the company of fellow racers Kenny(GRUMPY)Heins and our old oval specialist Tim(COTTON)McPherson all weekend. I hope any of you guys that follow this sight are even half as blessed as I have been to collect the friends this sport of snowmobiling and racing have brought into my life. The victories were many and oh so sweet but the friendships that formed were the true prizes.

I also enjoyed the Swap, I was out there Friday afternoon. Got to pop in at Jesse's trailer and BS for a few minutes. Would have loved to stay longer but my ride was leaving.

Old sleds are hours of entertainment.... then you get to ride them for a little bit.

Jerry, it was great to see you. Too bad you couldn't stay longer.
Steve, I always love listening to your stories. Thanks for all the kind words. Kyle liked what you wrote about him and Colin. The had a great time. By the way, Kyle has been riding that 110 all over the neighborhood. I even got my wife (AKA The Blonde Boss) to take a rider for 1/2 hour ride through the trails in the woods. Not exactly riding a Deere sled but it was fun. Me on the 110, Blondie on the 111, and Kyle on the LT155.

Re: Princeton Swaps/Races/Vintage Area Were Great
Nice post Duane. Sorry I couldn't make it this year, but I needed a break from Tabor's abusive ways after hanging out with him at Cat's 50th last summer. Too bad I missed all the cool ETD guys. I guess have to take the good with the Tabor.
I should be over that by next year, and plan to attend Princeton again, but looks like I will be driving up from Texas with Cari Deerest.
I hear Kyle has been eating double Wheaties in an attempt to outgrow me soon. Waiting another year gives me more time to bulk up to dish out the beating I am sure he will need by then.
Looking forward to Hay Days this year though, as I have some cool stuff to pick up...
