Ok Maybe a little more INFO is needed here ! First off Deere never used the invader style 340cc in any sled. Second off this is a liquid cooled engine not a fan cooled. Now In my humble opinion "rebuilt" is complete tear down, crank inspected, and or repaired, cylinder bores checked/and or rechromed if needed, NEW pistons/rings/bearings/and cir-clips, all new gaskets seals and Orings. Now if it was tore apart, cleaned, and checked. Then Re- gasketed thats not re-built !
If anyone else has any comments on this please do so! There is a big cost difference in "rebuilt" and "re-gasketed" JUST SAYING !

PS this engine came from a kawasaki invader 340, I am just trying to make sure some young kid doesn't see this add and think Deere had 2nd gen liquifires w/ 340's stuffed in them ! :bonk:

Just curious, what identifying features from the pictures tell you it is a 340 engine?
Thanks

Just the description. The only difference between a 440 and 340 are the jugs, heads and pistons. The model munbers are different.

We know it is a 340 because it says so on the engine name plate.

I posted a reply but can not seem to find it so let me post a note to correct this listing.....
(I am a new user and have not figured out how all these postings and replies work.)

I listed the item based on a tag that the mechanic had left on the rebuilt engine on what it fit. I did confirm the engine number based on the engine name plate.

Upon further checking, we have established that this is a liquid cooled engine but we can not confirm what it fits... we simply know that it is a Kawasaki engine and is the number shown TC340A-A201 and is 339cc Liquid Cooled. I apologize for the error.

This engine was rebuilt many years ago and has been in storage on a warehouse shelf. The mechanic who rebuilt it would have done a complete rebuild as described... not a gasket check.

I am more than happy to provide more photos, information, etc. for people who are seriously interested. Please feel free to call at 763-425-4159.

That's an Invader 340 motor. That was the only sled that motor was ever used in.
