I finished the hitch today and here's a couple pics of it. I can raise or lower it approx 8" with a switch mounted beside the seat.

Think these will do the job, Bob? Pardon the misalignment, but the lights are just temporarily mounted for now.

Yes I Do are those fogs or Driving. (I mean Light style. Fog is wide beam Driving is Spot.) Also use some HEAVY gauge wiring and a HEAVY switch. I had two Autozone 55W driving lights and it melted the switch. The wiring also gets extremely hot. Also whats taking care of the rear needs?

I'm not really sure what they are, Bob. Got them on sale at Princess Auto for $15.00 per pair. They listed them as driving lamps......but they cast a pretty wide beam for driving lights. They do seem like they'll do the job. I'll definately use some heavy wiring.....don't want to burn this thing down. Still haven't decided what to do for rear work lights. I do have another set of these and was considering using them, but I'll see if I happen upon anything else before I get around to the final wiring.

These lights look very familiar Pete. You can test the amp draw with your meter but I think they only pull 3 each. That would be the same as a pair or regular sealed beams.

Hey Richard.....it'd be great if you came down for it's virgin run. Just be assured, there's gonna likely be some snags to work out and the first run might be a real short one. It's snowing here now and if it keeps up the way it is, we should have enough by morning to go for a sled ride. I still have a fair ways to go on the groomer yet. Being optimistic, I'd guess at January 20 before it's ready. Depends alot on how backlogged the paint shop is. I spent the entire day today building a quick release latch and hinge mechanism for the vent window/escape hatch. Sure doesn't look like much for a full days work.

Pete, keep me posted on the snowfall in your neck of the woods. Myself and a few others are planning on a ride depending on who gets snow first. Just shoot me an e-mail if you have time. Thanks.

Still sluggin away at this project. Any of you farmer types out there recognize what the air breather is from?

And perhaps, those of you who did well in home-ec will instantly figure out what the raised section on the engine cover is from. I needed to get some added height there to clear my spark plugs.
