That is indeed a WOW!

That is one wicked looking setup. I feel so inadequate around Campbell.

Kevin how about a few more pics of the rest of the sled? What do you have on it for handle bars?

Man, that statement just made the project totally worth it......thank you Brian!!

JDT - The bars and controls are off the same sled that the engine came from, 2002 MXZ800. The grips are from a 78 Cyclone, 4" pivot riser block. I have some more pics posted over on the VSCA site.... http://vintagesleds.com/bs/index.php/topic,44654.0.html

Don - I hope you and Bob can join us on the St Germain Poker Run, all kinds of space on the lakes for some wide open throttle test rides.

Thanks guys.

Kevin,

Aside from making Brain feel, well, normal for him, that sled looks great so far! No wonder you needed a Dator hood, it looks like that is the only way the pipe would fit under a 'stock' hood. I will have to see more pic's on VS. Keep up the good work, and I hope to see and ride the finished product at St. Germain.

Paul - I am going to use the rear exchanger from the donor Doo under the seat and a 78 Liquifire bulkhead exchanger in front. The Deere front bulkhead exchanger is larger than the Doo unit, so I should be as good, or better on the cooling capacity. The Dator hood scoop is just for looks and will be closed off, no room for a front mounted radiator with the big expansion chamber.

Thanks for the compliments guys, I really appreciate it!

Kevin, I would suggest the 80+ liquifire front heat exchanger rater than the 78, the 78 has the fins & in minimal snow conditions will catch dirt & hold it where the 80+ will just wash it off..

Kenny - the 78 exchanger has already been on the Bridgeport mill and the fins are 3/8" shorter after a few passes with the fly cutter. That 1.25 lug track needed some room up front and those fins looked a bit on the over-kill side.
