I believe so, I haven't replaced it but I don't know if the guy before me ever did. it is a Prestolite. I've read through several topics on this forum and in the FAQ section and I've narrowed it down to either the stator or the cdi. Not sure which? Should both be replaced or is there a way to troubleshoot to tell which one is giving me the issue? Maybe this question has been answered already but I'm not sure where. Thanks for your help.

The testing procedure is in the FAQ section under the Kioritz lisiting. Check the stator when the engine is cold and also when it warms up and there is a failure. If the stator checks out, the cdi box is bad if you are losing spark. if the stator is bad, good used ones can be found but the latest thing is to get it rewound from Hewtec Electronics.
