Does it have an electric starter and would it fit a 79 Trailfire?

I dont think I can help you out there. The steering linkages are bent/messed up.

Thanks for the interest!

Even the centre one? That one is solid steel and like 9/16 thick? They must have really nailed something

I do believe the 80/81 lf's had the aluminum rod instead of the steel it took them a couple years to figure out " hey maybe we should make those out of steel instead of soft aluminum ! :bonk: I have only come across a few that weren't bent in all my parting out ! I can check and see if i have a steel one here ? It will prolly need the ends though ! lmk

He needs the drag link guys, not the tie rod. Has anyone looked to see if a trailfire is the same? I know the steering shaft is a bit shorter....

Could I maybe see some pictures of the drivers and axle if they're still for sale? You could email pictures to playintopraise@hotmail.com if you want.

Thanks,

Thanks JDSLEDS.com! Ive had some great interest in parts from this machine. I thought I would post an updated list of parts:

radiator - Sold
handle bars - $5.00
overflow bottle - $5.00
Rear grab bar - $15.00
exhaust Y pipe - $5.00
Headlight Grill - $5.00
front heat exchanger - Sold
spindles - $10.00
hood hinge - $5.00
gauges - Sold
cylinder heads $10.00 ea
speedo cable - $5.00
wiring harness - $10.00
carbs - $35
fuel pump - $15.00

If you are close to Waterloo IA...Id make a package deal for all the remaining parts. (then I dont have to ship)

Suspension is removed
Let me know if any interest in misc suspension parts.

I can get shipping quotes or pictures. Prices are not set in stone...so if you want to make an offer on several items...Just let me know!

On a side note...
The guy I bought the sled from said it was running great when he put it away. It just died on him. Well with a hole in the block and a piston skirt missing...i can see why it died. haha This may because the oil injection was removed.... :bonk:
