Glad to hear there are some good projects in the works. I have a few projects to finish the details on, like my restored 340/s. And I am probably going to calibrate the clutches on my I-500 sled and give her a coat of freash paint and new decals.

After running the 84 pretty hard in the challenge, she could use some freashing up and a little repair work as she was pushing coolant and the speedo it out to lunch.

I would like to run the 340/s on the poker run if I don't do the guides ride next year. And my vintage challenge sled for next year will be... :thinksnow:

Nut bolt resto on a Dator. Wife granted me permission right after the new year as my 40th birthday gift. I have a good partner in crime, cause we all know the $ involved in these resto deals. At this point everthing is done just need to put it back together. Plan to have it at the HOF show over Memorial Day at which time I plan to pick up the Brian Nelson Cross Country Cat that has my name on it, it just has not been made public  . Yeah right me and all the other thousands of raffle tickets that have been sold.

Hey speaking of complete tear down resto work. If you have your sled tore down to nothing check out Kwik Wire in Fondu Lac WI for wiring harness rebuild. I sent my 295s wiring harness and now my dator harness and they completely rebuild the harness with all new wires, clips, attachments and circuit board. $100 plus shipping. To me that is a heck of a deal. They have a web site, Cory is the guy that has rebuilt both of my harnesses. Good people, quick turn around (2 weeks). I would encourage everyone to consider them. For a $100 bucks it sure can eliminate possible issues down the road especially if you already have your sled down that the wiring harness is completely exposed.

I have a scorpion to finish  then do some touch up on a trailfire I just got about 3 weeks ago  and then a complete resto on an 82 trailfire LX and the 78 Spitty that i had as a kid. Yeah and I know the Spitty isn't green but when I was 10 I didn't like the green so I had my dad repaint it like the 80's but then he put the 78 decals on the hood so when I restore it I'm gonna put the 80 decal kit on it.

My first plan of attack is to get cracking on my 1970 Ski Whiz 300S that I dismantled 2 years ago and got a little side tracked on. If that goes well, I recently bought a pretty nice 1980 Liquifire which I would like to have running for next season. It's one of those "just needs the carbs cleaned" advertised sleds and I'm guessing there'll be a little more to it than that.

Last week, my bro and I bought a 1978 Ski Doo Elite that we absolutely must get into good running order this summer. It needs some engine work and new slides, but is in pretty nice shape overall.

Time permitting, I'd also like to get my Raider running again. I blew the CCW engine in it up for the 2nd time 3 yrs ago and I've decided to ditch the CCW and install something a bit more modern into it. Does anyone know of any 80s or 90s era 440 fan cooled engines that have the electric starter mounted to drive off the flywheel rather than the clutch?

I'd also like to transplant a 488 Indy Trail engine into my 1982 Aktiv Grizzly as the original single carbed 440 Polaris fan cooled twin is way to gutless for that big behomoth.

That should about take care of every spare moment I can find this summer and then some.

Oh, I forgot about the half dozen or so mid 90s sleds I bought last month that I need to fix up to have ready for sale next winter.

Engine rebuild on an 82 LF due to gasket failure and subsequent detonation, skid work on an 84 LF, miscellaneous bits and pieces on an 81 LF, carb work on an 83 Sprint.

Here is some inspiration for next year. Taken last Sunday in Rice Lake WI.....
