I personally haven't ever seen any with the tabs.. If the air boxes fit & pin in without them why add the extra weight... and expense....

Wade ... I checked out 3 more Dators this weekend. None had the tabs. Im thinking that with the tabs they might be a little more difficult to set the air box. Dont need to do the tabs on my behalf. ........ Do you do metal prefab work? Machinist?

chuck thx for looking , i say omit the tabs , no im no machinist or fabricator , my good friend has a small machine shop , one man deal , he does fabulous work , his main stay is work tooling and fixtures for the steel mill industry here local but he will gladly take on this kind of work to fill in with , he shares work with a guy who has a water jet which works out great for our sheet metal projects like this, he did the 340/s coil brackets and dashes for us also the dator radiator brackets , all available from new breed we should have pricing soon on the air box brackets thx wade

hello all, bases are done and will be shipped the first of week , currently there are 3 bases and 2 pins available , they turned out great i think , they have a 1/4 inch hole in them for alignment under the air box , i could be welded up i suppose , they are made out of .120 aluminum rather than .100 like the originals were , very tough to tell the difference , otherwise they are dead ringers for the original parts
