I went for a few laps around the house today with it. I didn't realize how top heavy it is and how much it wants to roll over. SO it threw me off a few times, but I'm getting the hang of it. It has almost no suspension, but is just as much fun to ride as my sport quad!

A not too uncommon observation for a first experience with a Deere mid-mount.

I have been riding them since '72. You have to RIDE it. Hang your butt over the side of the seat and LEAN!
You will get the hang of it. :beers;

We are supposed to get warm weather and rain the rest of the week, so instead of putting the rest of the plastics back on, I went for a ride! Put 7 miles on it. I messed around with the jetting. Mostly starting at one end of the field and trying various richer combos on the low and high sides. It just made it start to bog down and run like crap, so I put it back to the way it was when my friend tuned it (really close to the Walbro specs) and ran around some more. Got up to 50 mph, and I'll get more into leaning with it once I have a cover over the clutch so I don't accidentally chew my left leg up.

I did get some air on accident off of a wood chuck hole I didn't see in the snow. I'm surprised at how well it landed. I traveled the distance of my sled before my tracks start again. Just plain fun today!!
