Hey Duane,

The old saying about not being able to please all the people all the time sure rings true. When I was layed off from GM back in 2009, I made my living hauling sleds and selling parts on EvilBay for the next year. Out of the thousands of eBay sales, I have only recieved 1 or 2 negative feedbacks and one or two newtrals.

One guy reciently had a reasonable complaint, the clutch roller and bushing kit I sold him had some surface rust on the rollers. Instead of asking me to replace it or refund his money, he sent me a PM from the next time I listed them and asked if these were rustly like the ones I sold him. I informed the buyer that there are lots of ways to handle this, such as requesting replacement parts or a refund. I sent him another bag, explaining that these are 30 to 40 years old, and conditions can vary. He wanted to know whey I didn't use the exact picture of the exact item up for sale, etc. He is only the second buyer I have ever had to ban, so it happens.

I am terrible at sending photo's to someone that wants a $5 or $10 part, because of the time to take them, reduce the pic, send it, waite for a response and such. So I find it easier to have a file of things, and list them on eBay. Also makes me ship them fast, unlike some of my friendly trades, as Grumpy and Brock can attest.

In short, don't let it bother you. Even when you try to please your customers, some of them will not be happy with your efforts. Even when I try to support some charity efforts with donations of time, money or parts, I still end up under the bus. Goes with the territory I guess.
