78 liquifire problems
MY kit didn't come with the bearings and since the old ones looked OK I used them. Didn't Know about them when I ordered the pistons. I will run 40:1 for 3 gallons and then switch to 50:1. Waiting for snow to check it out along with my 1978 Ski-Doo 440 Everest I just bought. I hope all works fine. THANKS for the help.

400brian,
Boy I blew that one. 40:1 is actually 1 pint of oil to 5 gallons of gas and 50:1 is 1 pint to 6 gallons of gas. Nice save on Brians part.
Gary,
The service manual recommended 1 tankfull of premix at 40:1 for break-in which is 6 to 7 gallons if your sled had the tool compartment in the fuel tank. During break-in, don't run it extremly hard and at a constant speed. You want to vary the speeds. Retorque the head bolts after it had cooled down.
