Hey Captain Kirk,
You really need to quit badgering the neighbors!
I've never seen one in the wild. They look cute enough but I've heard they can hold their own against about anything. Saw a wildlife show once and it showed them digging with those claws. Wow they might as well have a shovels for front feet. I could see where they could do some serious damage with those claws.
Very cool photos!

Re: Furry critter of the day photos
On this episode of Wild Kingdom, we are back to the Badger den. The WI DNR has now shown an interest, this week a sign appeared in front of the den. I don't know if the Badgers could read it or not, but the print was so small I couldn't read the damn thing. Marlin got a shot of it on Friday, and the top line reads: "Please don't feed the Badgers". Now I'd had no thoughts of feeding the Badgers, but for all I know someone has been bringing them Big Macs.
I thought the photo was pretty funny, as it appears that the Badger finds the "Do not feed the Badgers" sign, quite tasty!
The Wife had a DNR honcho in the Dentist Office this week, and he seemed to think they were going to be re-located.
We have only seen two as of late, so perhaps this is on-going. My opinion of the DNR is just a bit higher than my opinion of the IRS, so I have little enthusiasm for any plan they might have cooked up.

I think Bucky is trying to remove the sign so they can get their next meal.
