I would like to thank the following for making this all happen going back over the last three years, working on the 340/s or providing parts . First of all Bill ( cousin ) for giving me back my 340/S after selling it to him 40+ years ago. Followed by a long list , which I hope I am forgiven if I forget someone . Brent ,Francisco,Shawn, Brian, Ryan, Jesse, Joe, Brock, Mark, Keith, Rick, Maynard, Adam. Bosco Bullet and John's Upholstry.
And on race day Keith for driving the motorhome for Edna from Thief River Falls to Bemidji and photographers Rick and Maynard ,also bringing me gas when I ran out 200 feet from the gas stop .

Allan asked how the 340 S held up and how it felt .Well the top speed was only 55 mph on the hard packed road and 40 mph on the river, I'm sure back in the day it was faster than that. It was also running a little hot and I had to stop at least four times to pack snow on the engine as it seemed to be loading up ( A little rich being a warm day ) and would not rev up above an idol to even turn the track with the back end lifted up. It ran a lot cooler and better without the hood on . And how did it feel, it felt just about as good crossing the finish line as it did back in 1975 . :sled:

Thanks Glen. This whole concept of you restoring and then operating the very same machine in the 500 forty-two years after the actual event is the stuff of legend. Well done, sir.
