Yes Don, I got it!

:D

I got a kick out of how Roger Jannsen came from nowhere to lead on the last leg.

And the Gal was a hoot! During the race she looked normal enough, then later when they interviewed her, she had obviously spent some time at the beauty parlor, as she had her hair piled up like Marge Simpson.

I also liked the deal where they made them run through town ( DUH ) and the racer hit the parked car.

They also mentioned someone being DQed for speeding in town. Brian Nelson told Paul and I about this at the HOF ride. He said often the village cops would often have the radar set up, so you had to watch the speed.

Brian we ran through a great number of small towns. The townsfolk would line the street with little kids running out into the streets and here we were with no steering on dry pavement trying to keep from running over kids. We were always warned to keep within the speed limits in towns and it's true that they ran speed traps. Glad you enjoyed it. Don

Thanks Don, the video was awesome. My 2 boys (13 and 8) and I watched it last night and very much enjoyed. My 13 year old asked me lots of questions and he couldn't believe the pounding the racers and machines took. I met Herb Howe a few years ago at Waconia vintage show when they had his restored winning I-500 sled there. I liked your car pictures too! Duane Gjerseth
