Got a bearing question on the jack shaft and drive shaft

This first pic is of the bearing on the side closest to the secondary clutch. Anyone got a good number being used today from like Farm and Fleet? According to the online parts manual this is a ball bearing which i think the online manual is wrong and this a flat roller bearing. Please let me know.

In this pic will be the drive shaft bearings.

The first pic is the left side of the sled, not the one in the gear box. Anyone got a good number current number on on this?

The second pic is gear box side and it is a roller bearing, appears to be real good, nice and smooth probably due to sitting in the 90w gear lube. Do I replace? Got a good number current also?

If I am thinking right, all the bearings on the left side of the drive and jack shafts are all the same flat roller bearings and the bearings on the right side which would be in the chain case are the same and are ball bearings? Still could use some numbers guys..

I aint worked up yet... :lol22:

I did manage to compare the numbers on the bearings of both shafts, I thought the torch may have damaged the numbers on the bearings....now after reviewing the bearings for 3rd time, the bearings are all the same with this number on them...1706205-100 JAPAN NBR

In the attached pics, this is the same bearing flipped over. This bearing would be located on the sled in on the drive shaft, gear case side. However this is the same number and style bearing on jackshaft also, closest to the secondary clutch.

Does anyone know if this is a good number today? Does the 80-Life use the same bearings on the jackshaft and driveshaft both sides?

Paul, I could be mistaken but I think the bearing is JD8555 and still a good number. DA

Those are all ball bearings, and you have the bearing supply house right down the road!

These are common AG equipment bearings, replace them all so you know where you are at.

Hey Paul,

All the bearings can be purchased at farm and fleet. Just bring them with and match them up when youre at the store...

Should only be two sizes used...the ones on the jackshaft have a smaller i.d.

I cant remember the numbers sorry...

I gotta call your bluff Eric...

I just measured both shafts where the bearings locate and the shafts are .998 inches exact OD, both shafts.

I just measured the 3 of the 4 bearings I also have here and they are all 1.000 inches at the ID.

Bearings have been found and purchased..Timken was the brand. BDI bearings said who ever thought of this idea had not had a clue what they were doing using this type of bearing on a drive system, they will fail eventually. They called them pillow block bearings.

Anyhow...here is the L-Fire getting ready for paint.
