Help from John Deere Employees

Post by JDCornFlakes »

Ken: I hope to in next day or so to get a close-up photo of decal for anyone's viewing pleasure.

A bit of history on the Enns Borother's unit. It was bought in Manitoba by original owner for upcoming Manitoba winter. He got a job transfer to SW Ontario before it seen any Manitoba snow. So it came with him, but down by Windsor not a lot of snow really. He said only used it maybe 10 times over the years. He then took a job in British Columbia and did not want to move it. Moving truck was coming in 4 days to load up for B.C and it was August and for sale. He was asking $900 but needed it gone so I got it for $575.

Would anyone like a re-production made of this decal ?

Oh, I forgot to mention that this thing has race history too. So I will sart the asking price at appropiate market value. It will be less than $10,000 though.

Thanx Dave

Hi Dave,it's to bad that guy put in grade 5 bolts instead of shear bolts. Parts from the Ariens st 524 will fit.
Guys around here, have been getting parts from the ariens dealer, for there ariens made JD snowblowers.

Thats pretty cool that the 524D came from our dealreship. How long ago was it when the guy bought it from us.If you post the S/N i can tell you if i sold it to him,or one of our sales pros.

Dave maybe if you bring the snowblower to Enns Bros, i can see if our service mgr can put in an after sales warranty claim," LOL" You never know!

Hey Bob...thanks very much for the re-assurance on the Ariens part hopefully working. I feel real stupid on me not checking on those shear bolts.
I hope to get the LH gear case in about a week if it is correct I will be ordering the shaft and gear (AM123350) from local Deere dealer not Ariens dealer. price was very close.

Just the $700+ for (AM123353) gear case compared to $33 from Ariens was not a question.
Of course will order a whack of shear bolts from Deere dealer too.

Sure will post the S/N for it Bob would be kinda cool to see if you did sell it....then of course process the warranty claim too. Would Deere covers the $750 in fuel, $500 in beer and $150 in food for me getting it to you for warranty ? Hehehe. :beers;

Thanx Dave

P.S. Once I arrive there I am sure you can document it's I500 race history. As was told it was used to snow blow paths around area on race day ?
