I'm a FoMoCo man myself but the 455 can put out a fair bit of power and come at a reasonable price. A friend is building a cutlass with one, I personally have always liked the Gran Sports. 455 stage 1's will move along.

I would take a 442 any day. There is a guy that took a Olds station wagon and dropped a W30 in it to replicate I guess what are like a handful of actual W30 442 Station wagons. Looks Factory.

Hey Guys,

I really like the new Camaro, but Buicks are my historical favorite car. The 70-72 GS's and the 70 & 71 GSX's were awsome with 455ci. A few of my collage cars were Buicks, a 71 Centrion and my Grandfathers old 73 Electra, both with 455's.

My "summer beater" is my grandmothers old 86 2dr Regal. The 307 in it is just junk, and gee, I kept the 455 out of the 71 for a someday project...

But I have to admit that 86-87 Grand Nationals still make me weak in the knees...

Other new car I really like is the GXP Pontiac G8 with the 6speed stick and 6.2 L V-8.

Nice. How bout a sound Clip??? I would love to hear that baby scream!!!! Also Joe I agree the GN's are Sweet. There is one for sale around town but its like 20K. I also saw a regal T-type with the same motor in it.

Congrats Dave! I just stopped by the local Chevy dealer and they already sold all 3 of the Camaro's that have come in. They will let me drive one, as soon as one sticks around for a few days.

Bob, for 87 you could order any Regal with the Turbo V-6. From 84-86 you had to order a GN or a T-type to have the Turbo option. So you could get the granny-spec Regal with the hot motor...cool.

T-types are nice, but it's just not the same as the GN to me dispite being 99% the same car. Lot's less GN's built too. I just love that turbo whine.

Hahaha ya that's why I liked the T-type. I thought it was a granny Regal when I first saw it. I also like the 87 Monte Carlo SS. I like that square body style. I would love to take one of those and drop a 454 in it. Too bad all they came with in those years was the 305. :(

Correct me if I am wrong but I think that the T-type Regal did not have an intercooler and only ran 15 lbs boost before the wastegate opened.
GN topped out at 25 lbs?

And the GNX had twins? with 32 lbs boost.
Same engine as the 20th Anniversery TA which was like the fastest car GM ever made.

I have seen two Anniversary TA in person at the Drag strip and they are damn fast. I only remember seeing one turbo though. I would love to have one of those.
