Sounds like a CDI failure to me.

THE CDI !!! :bonk: :bonk:

Swaped in another CDI I had off an older Cyclone (so I had to solder some wires)

But now its running like a champ. I need to advance the timing slightly and it should be all set.

What a PAIN in the rear this thing has been!
