Word's just can't escape my mug about the precision of your creation. I would like to see it along with everyone else here, but the closest I have been to you is Cuba City, Wi. 2 years ago and don't know when I will ever be going to Wisconsin again. I really wanted to do the Horicon show last July, but distance was again the problem. If you don't mind, if we ever get in your area, I'd like to see your masterpiece, or all your other masterpieces to.
Job well done. My like button can't go high enough.

Layne you can stop and see my collection any time and thanks.

I put on over 100 miles on the sled this weekend. No issues to report except very minor things like headlight adjustment.
It runs real strong and rides beautifully.

Met MFD1221 at Timbers Saturday night and had a good talk. Lots of people interested in the sled and spent a lot of time
opening the hood this weekend. Next stop .... ride with the champs weekend.

Someone will take a video in St Germain in a couple of weeks.

I tested a 10,000 RPM JD tach this weekend and it WORKED! It is from a 77 Liquifire. Does anyone have a real nice or NOS one they
would part with?? This one was a little rough looking. It must NOT have a JD logo on it to be the correct one. The one with the logo
will not work.

Thanks in advance
Joe

The Tach I have was in slightly rough condition. I was going to hold out for a nicer one. Last night I decided to try and recondition the one I have. I started out by peeling back the aluminum ring around the outside that was dented etc. Without much work it
came off. I then removed the rubber gasket and glass that was messed up on both sides. I have dozens of these NOS 80 mph speedometers that I always steel parts from laying around. Took one apart the same way and borrowed the two aluminum pcs, rubber and glass. Re assembled the tach and it looks real nice now.

Its always funny how when you build something one little detail no one else would notice or would care about bothers you to the point of redoing it or fixing it I am same way even about smallest things I'm sure there is a name for the cond. We have but I call it fussy glad you got it lookin good now no one will point it out haha

Joe - this is a beautiful sled and wish I would have had time last week to stop by. I had to make a round trip from St Paul to Madison in 8 1/2 hours to pick up a trailer, and made it right to the minute for my son's basketball game. Sorry I couldn't match up a tach for you but I checked every one that I had.
