Don, Bob & Family: Prayers for you as well. When I was 8 I lost my 6 year old brother in an accident. I am 45 now and the pain eases over time but the loss is always there. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to all of you. God bless, Joel.

This evening some of Cam's friends placed this sign at the scene of his death. A local man produced the sign at no charge and the kids installed it. I just learned about it and understand that they actually have a generator running and the lights are on. I'll be driving out there to see it but wanted to share it with our friends.

Last night two local TV stations broadcasted stories about Cam. If you're interested in watching them, here's the links:

Bob,Don and family,
I just found this post a few minutes ago and don't know what to say. Your family will certainly be in my thoughts and prayers during this tragic time. I am so very sorry. May your faith provide you some measure of comfort and understanding as you face a parents greatest loss. Peace be with you. Tom Cluckey

Thanks Tom. Hope things are well with you including selling the Cyclone to get that car. Just make sure it's a good, safe one ok?

Re: Thoughts & Prayers Needed for the Amber Family
After watching the newsclip about the accident and Bob's commentary/interview talking about Cameron's life and how he intracted with other's in his life, it brought back some memories of a close friend who i had back in my 20's that passed away from Hodgkin's disease. To make a long story short, the lesson i learned from him before his passing was this: "when life hands you lemons, make lemonade" (Something i try to remember when i feel down and short-changed) - I know this is irrelevant (somewhat) to what happened to Cameron but the point/reminder that came to mind is one that Don made earlier in this thread and that is to love the ones who are close and special to you and learn from them, love them back and treat them with kindness and respect. Remember and practice the special things they teach you and the things you admire about them.
The first time i met Don and Bob was back on the 2007 Ride With the Champs in Wisconsin. I have to say for being a newbie and nobody, they sure made me feel welcome and part of the "John Deere Gang". If Cameron was anything like his father and Grandfather, the world lost a wonderful person. Only the big guy upstairs knows why he left this earth so soon. Rest in Peace, Cameron.

Re: Thoughts & Prayers Needed for the Amber Family
I had found out about Cameron's passing on Friday morning through an email that DA sent me at work and I must say....I about fell out of my chair with a feeling of deep sorrow for the Amber family's loss . I called DA's cell right away to express my condolences...
I had met Cam through DA and Bob, where he had came to the shop a couple of times with either of them when they would drop by and I was always impressed by his kind dimeanor and maturity for a young man of his age. He was always enjoyable to be around! Any loss of a loved one is very hard, but to lose a young life cut off short like this is even more tragic.
Please accept my wife Jenny and myself's prayers and thoughts for your family Bob and as parents of young children ourselves, we feel so sorry for your loss. Our deepest condolences are with you.
In Christ,
Phil & Jenny Rickard
