Stew you and I are almost identical on this. I am modifing mine because I wanted to when I was in high school, it sat 15 years and I am almost done building it. Sleds are my hobby and I learn along the way with my mistakes $$$ but have fun doing it.

Most of us have the same thoughts on this.

I enjoys working on my sleds. Some are best left original. Some are fun to modify.

I have spent a lot of time in the last 5 years looking for sleds that I wished I could have had when I was a teenager.
