Re: Found an 84 Sprintfire
The 84 sprint is up and running. The tank was cleaned with a new pickup and fuel grommet installed. New fuel line and filter and carb cleaned. Oil tank cleaned and new lines ran and filter, system bled and tested and syncd with carb. Exhaust repainted with new fastener. Cooling drained and filled new overflow hose. New headlight bulb and tailight assembly. Clutches cleaned, new spring in primary and aligned, new belt. She's not the prettiest thing but she'll be able to tootle around now.

Re: Found an 84 Sprintfire
Nice job. It's a fun sled and very good power to weight ratio! Most of these sprints had a lag delay from the clutch/belt off the line. Once I switched over to the NOS belt M68715 those issues went away.

Re: Found an 84 Sprintfire
I lined up the clutches as best a possible. it requires a 10.86" +/- .04 i believe. It was at 10.80, I tried it at 10.92" to try and get more positive horizontal skew but it was straining the motor to much with the belt on and not allowing it to fire. So I had to back it off to 10.82" but still ending up having to shim the secondary x3. It still has a little more negative skew than i'd like. Im using a NOS M68715 so we'll see how she works.
