According to Danzig's Previous post NO YOU NEED TO REBUILD. If you can blow air through and feel no resistance then the inlet is stuck open. BOB

Again Bob, alot of assuming going on again. Rebuild the carb??
All I was doing was trying to assist a person with a flooded engine problem and to track where the problem was possibly coming from. If this test was done properly and if this person who did the test understands the purpose of why and then we have gained some knowledge. If the carb has all the correct jetting etc and it appears to be in good shape, a cleaning should be in order. Otherwise your carb passed the leaking needle and seat test at this time. This however does not rule out a heavy float which will also cause the needle to back out of the seat and cause a flooded condition also.....

What I meant by rebuilding the carb was to CLEAN It. Not re jet it. BOB

Its probably flooded if you cant start it after it sits overnight. Trust me I had the same problem A new Needle and Seat worked. some guy at the shop said it was fine but I didn't trust him and im glad i didn't. Get a new one. Also make sure the chokes are set properly and that the aircrew is 1-1.5 turns out. I couldn't get mine to idle at 1.5 turns out so I went in a .5 turn and it runs pretty good. BOB

gave it one last try tonight 3 pulls huge backfire? it has to be getting gas
see i dont know how to clean the carb good and would like to get it running and use sea foam to clean it out as does wonders
could i take the carb off and bottle feed it or do you leave the carb on and take the gas hose off to bottle feed it cause if i can get it runnning nice i will stick some money into it but gotta make sure engine is good
why does it backfire

Take the carb apart, soak it overnight in a gallon of carb clean. Use shop air or carb clean and blow in all the passages to be sure there isn't something in any of them. Check and double check the float level and the choke. Double check that the correct jets are in the carb. Remember sea foam might clean some varnish, but it won't remove debris. Doing this isn't going to cost much money. Huge backfire could mean cylinders with too much gas in them already.

Correct me if I am wrong but if you take the carb off and bottle feed the engine and it fires won't the engine overrev and grenade because of too much airflow. You will have no way of restricting airflow without the carbs-no throttle valve/slide to control airflow. Joel

Joel, you are very correct.
If it ran good before you changed the fuel lines then ck the arrows on the fuel pump or your service manual to make sure you haven't got a line on the wrong place.
otherwise I would try cleaning the carb again to make sure all of the small orifices & the pilot jet or main jet hasn't got dirt or crud in it.

I was assuming he just wanted to put a gravity flow fuel supply to the carb, by-passing the tank and pump.
It sure sounds likes like something is over fueling the engine.

ok i will try to clean carb
but wouldnt it work to bottle feed it as i could control the gas and see if it will run good
1 last thing the choke cant open full position, just up and down, is this improperly adjusted,

The only way you could "Bottle Feed" would be with a spray bottle of premix and a the carb still on. Disconnect the carb from the fuel supply and make sure you shut it out of the tank so it dont spray when you pull it. With a Friend pull the sled over with the throttle pinned and you spraying a veryfine mist into the carb body. This way if it tried to take off all you would need to do would be release the throttle.
