. Now that I have started looking, and becoming known sleds have been finding me. First the whirlwinds for 100 each, then the low mile 76 440 Liquifire. Missed a FREE thunderjet

I There was a successful massey dealer in town and a scorpion a few towns over. I know a guy south of Winnipeg that has a near perfect 3 cylinder cyclone. That's part of the reason I found the other one, I would have never asked if i had not seen the other one. I had a good summer, there still are a few good ones left out there. If I can make it up around Pete (Liquifire 4/6) There is a goldmine up there, an old guy has a yard full. There are a few fire Deere's and some other my friend had never even herd of. The buildings are full of his better/rarer sleds. One day one day.

Until then I have a book of sleds and names, some of those old guys only want sell if you ask real nice.

It is a 340 liquid cooled brute/ brootanza (spelling). I think it used the cyclone chassis but a special liquid cooled motor, built in limited numbers for racing. Someone on here will have more information than me on it.

you said WOW at how I got spark on the mix match combo. I have good spark somehow. however I have not had the motor running. it wants to run it seems but it just bogs out.. although it is pouring gas out of the exhaust.

I am wondering if the spark could be off or something not be right with the firing pattern with the way I have the cdi box wired up, does the cdi box only work rite if you have it wired rite?? I have spark and have tried switching the plug wires. I think it is just extremely flooded. do you think I am on the right track

The Murauder is the RAREST of all the Massey Sleds. I have only ever seen one myself.

Well the CCW stator has a hi-speed and low speed winding for ignition coils. So there are two coil coil inputs on the CDi cox.

The Cuyuna box uses two inputs also but they are charge and trigger.

Did you have spark on both sides? Is so I do not know how timing could be correct. But at least you know what the original problem was.

Scorps-r- us can probably help you out with a CDI box too.

Ok I thought that the timing might have been changed by the ccw box.. yeah I have spark on both sides. I am going to find some components that are for the sled.

Other then testing for a short to ground there is not much to check on a CDI box.

After everything else in the ignition system has been checked, repaired and adjusted the best thing to do is swap in a know good box to confirm a bad one.

You can test the coil(s) with an ohm meter. Both primary and secondary sides should have resistance but not be open or shorted. Also check the high tension(spark plug) wires and caps.
