I love all my deeres, but when I go to the UP for a week once or twice a year [about 600 miles for one week, or 1200 for two] and 600-800 miles a year on our local trails I need a sled to handle the high mileage. And the trailfire, liquifire, or any of the other deeres I have would not hold up to that much use. I can't get next day parts for the deeres like I can for the 900 switchback either. The new sleds also handle the extreme temperature changes that I encounter. Ever try to start a deere at -35f.
It's maybe possible with half a case of starting fluid and pulling your guts out, but the EFI polaris takes two or three pulls and fires right up, no choke, no sputter, just runs and goes no hassle. [and it was that cold one night when we went for a short ride in the woods by the cabin at 1am.] So love the deeres and embrace the future technology.
safe ride'n all, nick
