Bob,
This hulk is what I need your chassis for, as this frame is trashed. I sent you an e-mail, as I have a shipping quote from Terry.
Peter,
Thanks for the info on the Sprint. "I though" electric start was an option, but like Rob said, I have never seen the kit. Maybe I can adapt Trailfire Parts over. Cari has said she is much more likely to ride he Sprint if it was equipt with it.
Thanks,
-Joe

Re: What's everyone's summer sled project?
well first off i like to say i finally got a good 79 trailfire 440 i plan on doing a cheap restoration but not any aftermarket stuff on it but will keep eye on this site first and feebay second but this sled will be a rider next winter for the vintage rides.i dont see many jd's in the rides and my lawn tractor is a 1985 420 and is on its second engine so these products hold up well with maintance.just like to say that this site rocks and i hope it will be here for yaers to come.i know where to come for info you jd'ers know your stuff keep up the great work and finds.

Well I've got too many projects, but the one I am hoping to finish before next snow is my SportFire silver JDX4 Special with the 440 and dual Mikunis ala Wade.
It wont be stock, but it should be fast, and it will be pretty !
If by some miracle of God I finish it, next is the Wife's 440 Invader...hence the reason for the Hot Rod JDX4 !

Re: What's everyone's summer sled project?
Well this isn't JD related but in early July I'm heading back north for a couple of months, I'm going to start early this time ( hopefully )to reassemble my old 77 Scorpion Bull Whip I-500 Racer for Waconia 2013 at Chris's, Jerome is doing the crank & crankcase for me so it starts " Hot " easier than it did back in 77 at the fuel stops using some of today's technology.. We also need to do some repairs to my 32 ft snowmobile hauler that I purchased last fall. Also I just recently purchased some steel shelving to install at the garage up north at the cabin so we can store a couple of sleds off the floor so we have more room there & I hope to paint the inside of the garage white & install a few more lights so it's brighter inside.. Sounds like me & Tucker will be real busy.. HAHAHAHA
